Alginit Ltd. was established in 1988 for excavating and trading of mineral called alginit.
The mine is situated in the neighbourhood of the villages Gerce and Sitke, not far from the town Sárvár, in Vas county, West part of Hungary.

Alginit Ltd has the exclusive mining right for mineral alginit in Gérce mine. The dimensions of the area where this mineral treasure is found according to the results of geologic investigations more than 200 ha; the mass of exploitable alginit that can be found on this territory is approx. 120 million tonnes.
Capacity of the mine increasable up to 800 000 m3/year according to official concession issued in 2002.
